We found a place!

After a bunch of Googling and a few hours of physical searching and inspecting, we have found a place to live for the rest of the year. Our new home will be the Smith Suites, the third building of the Smith Residences here in Chiang Mai. We will be the first occupants of our unit.

Our building is a few hundred meters south of the moat, outside the wall surrounding Chiang Mai’s Old City. The area has a solid neighborhood feel, so it fulfills our vision of living and working around the world. It’s also an easy walk from the new location of Punspace, the cool coworking space we plan to join. A large fresh market is a few minutes walk. Little restaurants and shops fill the area, and the weekend market in the center of the old town is also close.

As promised, have also have room for visitors, so get your reservations in now for the beautiful, warm and dry Thai winter.

We will post pictures, but for now, I wanted to share how supremely relaxing and exciting it is to have our search process and decision behind us.
