Bad News/Good News

Scary/reassuring incident from our first flight, SEA-NRT.

We were about half way through the flight – five hours in, five left – when a lanky guy seated two rows in front of me got up to walk back to the restroom.

I did not notice him until he suddenly dropped like a sack of potatoes in the aisle next to me. He was out like a light. So, that’s the scary part.

The reassuring part is that the cabin crew were extremely competent. They took great care of the guy, leaving him in place, giving him oxygen, inquiring systematically about his condition, etc.

It’s good to know that cabin crew are capable of such professional behavior.
